Latics swoop for defender McKerr
The 19-year-old Northern Ireland youth international, who has caps at Under-19 and Under-20 level, turned down a move to SPL champions Rangers in favour of a deal with the League One side.
McKerr joined the St Andrew's club in 2007 from Glenavon but did not make a first-team appearance.
