Latics star to plough lone furrow
Summer signing Abbott scored both goals in Saturday's 2-1 win at Leyton Orient after Penney sent the Latics out in a 4-3-2-1 formation with the former Huddersfield striker spearheading the attack.
Penney seems certain to stick with the same formation as his side make a swift return to the capital in search of another three-point haul.
Winger Chris Taylor played 90 minutes against Orient without feeling the effects of a recent groin problem but new signings Rob Purdie and Joe Jacobson remain sidelined due to injury.
Midfielder Purdie is recovering from a stomach injury and defender Jacobson is currently troubled by a hernia problem.
