Latics make fan plea

Oldham have urged volunteers to come forward and assist with removing frost covers ahead of Saturday's home clash with Walsall. The Latics have borrowed extra covers from Manchester City and there are currently two layers covering the pitch in an attempt to prevent it freezing. In total there are 60 covers on the Boundary Park playing surface and they will be removed on Saturday morning. A club statement said: "Latics would like volunteers to step forward and help remove the covers. Simply turn up at Boundary Park at 8am on Saturday and lend a helping hand."
