Latics lose to Falkirk

Goals from Jack Crompton and Brian McLean ensured Oldham were on the wrong end of a 2-0 friendly defeat to Falkirk held at Northwich. Crompton opened the scoring with a speculative 30-yard effort after 33 minutes before turning provider for McLean to put the result beyond doubt five minutes later. The midfielder's free-kick was met by McLean, who stole in at the near post to slot the ball beyond Dean Brill in the Oldham goal. On-trial defender Lanre Oyebanjo started for the Latics, who also gave a debut to new signing Warren Feeney.
