Latics land ex-Chelsea man
Oldham have signed former Chelsea winger Filipe Morais on non-contract terms.
The versatile Portuguese attacker did not make the grade at Stamford Bridge but enjoyed a spell at Millwall before moving north of the border for stints with Hibs, Inverness and most recently at St Johnstone.
Morais will go straight into the Latics squad for Saturday's visit of Plymouth.
Meanwhile, Rob Purdie has re-signed for former club Hereford on a three-month loan deal.
