Dickov delights in pre-season results

The Latics held Championship club Huddersfield Town to a goalless draw at Boundary Park on Saturday. The match was lack lustre with few chances at either end and with both defences on top. Outstanding players for the Latics were goalkeeper Alex Cisak and centre-half Jean-Yves M'voto. Cisak made two great saves and M'voto almost scored with a header from a corner as well as doing his bit to keep a clean sheet. Dean Furman and Youssouf M'Changama took control of midfield during the second half and manager Paul Dickov was delighted with the performances of his men during the pre-season build up, having kept four clean sheets out of six matches. Dickov said, "Again, against Huddersfield, on Saturday we were defensively sound which has been a massive plus. The back five have done well throughout pre-season and that has been a massive plus. I think we have a resilience not to be beaten which we haven't had in my two other seasons as manager."
