Latics boss desperate for victory

Oldham were play-off contenders for most of the season but they have now gone nine games without victory and have slipped into mid-table. Manager Joe Royle admitted: "Although there is progress to be seen and I don't think we are far away from being a decent side, we are desperate for a win. "These players have a good passing ethic, they want to play good football, but we are deficient in both boxes. "I'm very frustrated because we got to 10 minutes from time and stopped attacking, which is probably what cost us. "That's something we need to address and, looking further forward, I will be making my recommendations to the chairman about what the club needs for next season."
