Oldham have appointed former Wolves and Leeds defender Paul Butler as the club's new chief scout. Butler, 37, who also counts Sunderland, Rochdale and Bury among his former clubs, recently passed his UEFA A licence and has been scouting for Sheffield United, Stoke and Cardiff since his playing days ended 16 months ago. New Latics chairman Simon Corney said: "This adds another layer to Paul Dickov's management team as we bid to build a good environment here."
