Kelly and Jarrett shown exit door

Oldham duo Dean Kelly and Jason Jarrett have been released from Boundary Park with immediate effect following short-term contracts which were due to expire later this month. Striker Kelly will be looking to find a club in the Eircom League after expressing a desire to return to Ireland to be with his partner and two young children. He made 15 appearances for Latics, mainly as a substitute, scoring once in the 4-2 home win against Plymouth. Jarrett, meanwhile, was told his contract was not being renewed and last featured in the FA Cup first-round defeat at Accrington over two months ago. Manager Paul Dickov said: "They are both great professionals and I would like to wish them well in their future careers. "Dean expressed a wish to go back to Ireland to be with his family. He has been here on his own and found it hard. Jason started well but, for whatever reason, things have not worked out as we had hoped."
