Latics manager Lee Johnson was delighted after his team put in a convincing performance to crush Port Vale 3-1 at Boundary Park last Saturday.He commented, “The fans have been great and they saw the tempo was where it should be. They knew everyone was putting it in. I have had a horrible two weeks because we haven’t won, but now at least I can walk around with a smile on my face. I do like to reward players for good performances by keeping them in. That is the way I liked it as a player.”
If performances continue at the same level the fans will soon flood back to Boundary Park.
