Jarrett happy with conversion

Oldham's Jason Jarrett says he now considers himself a centre-back following his switch from midfield into the heart of the defence. The 29-year-old and Reuben Hazell have formed an effective partnership, leaving new-loan signing Jean Yves M'voto and Sean Gregan on the sidelines. Jarrett is happy to remain in his new position as Paul Dickov's men look to continue their fine start to the season. He said: "It isn't something I expected, but the manager must have seen something in me to play at the back. "I must admit I was wary, but I have enjoyed playing alongside Reuben and it has worked out well. "I now regard myself as a centre back and not a midfielder."
