Jarrett will have done his prospects of a permanent role in defence no harm Triallist Jason Jarrett has found a new role at Boundary Park with some confident displays at the heart of the Latics defence. Having spent most of his career as a midfieder or up front, he has responded well as a stand-in cente back. With team captain Sean Gregan on the sidelines through injury Jarrett will have done his prospects of a permanent role in defence no harm with some outstanding displays. The manager commented, "Jason has been outstanding at centre back and it looks as though he has played there a lot in his career which hasn't been the case."
