Hunt for striker continues
talks have been held Paul Dickov has confirmed that he has been holding talks talks with two prospective strikers. Cody McDonald of Norwich City and Clayton Donaldson, who is currently out of contract at Crewe, have both been approached with the offer of joining Athletic. McDonald is 25-years-old and scored 26 goals last season on loan at Gillingham while Donaldson, who is 27-years-old, bagged 29 goals at Gresty Road.Dickov said, “I am not stupid and realise that goalscorers of their calibre are going to attract a lot of interest. I have spoken to both, but there are a lot of clubs in for them. If it is purely down to money, then they are not my type of player. I want footballers who will buy into what we are trying to achieve here.”
