Holdsworth facing six months out

The summer signing from Huddersfield has patella tendonitis, a knee injury which forced him to miss the first month of the season.[LNB]He underwent a process called dry needling a month ago in an attempt to prevent surgery, but the pain has returned to the knee and going under the knife is now the only option.[LNB]He will be sidelined for between two and six months depending on the damage to the tendons.[LNB]Unfortunately for Holdsworth and the Latics, the surgeons will not be able to assess the seriousness of the damage until after the surgery.[LNB][LNB]
