Hardy fears fixture pile-up

Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy admits the big freeze could lead to his side playing two matches a week in the second half of the season. The Latics' last three matches have been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions sweeping the country and Sunday's Boxing Day home clash against Carlisle might be called off. Hardy told the Oldham Chronicle: "We can't control the weather. "If the cold spell continues much into the New Year, we could be playing two matches every week between now and the end of the season."
