One month loan which could be extended The Latics have signed Cameroon born Cedric Evina from Premier League club Arsenal on a month's loan. Evina is 18-year-old and can play at left back or on the left of the midfield. Paul Dickov said of him, "I have seen Cedric play and I am sure he will bring a lot of quality to the team. He is quick, can play left back or left wing and is a very good defender. Cedric is young, hungry and fits the profile of the players we are looking for. Hopefully he will be a good acquisition and I would like to thank Arsenal for allowing him to join us."Evina is delighted with the move and commented, "It is important for me to get some proper first-team football. It will be tough breaking into the side at Arsenal where there is competition at left back from Gael Clichy, Kieran Gibbs, Armand Traore, Thomas Cruise and myself. The training is fantastic, facilities unbelievable and everything is done to help you become a better player. When I signed my scholarship and went to the first-team training ground and saw the likes of Cesc Fabregas on a daily basis, and even got to train with him, it only served to inspire me."
