"It is very hard to take a killer blow in the last minute"

Latics captain Dean Furman believed that the his team should not have lost at Notts County. He said after the game, “It is very hard to take a killer blow in the last minute, though it was a great strike from Sheehan. It seems to be the story of our season when we don't get what we deserve. We seem to be saying it time and time again, but I thought the boys were brilliant on a difficult pitch. We showed what we are all about which had been questioned in the week. And I am sure anybody at the game witnessed what we are all about as men and gave their all.”“If that is our starting point between now and the end of the season, we will pick up more wins and many more points. It is great to get that 'Saturday morning buzz back' as it was my senior game in two-and-a-half months. Obviously I am deflated with losing, but it was great to get out and have no ill effects with the injury.”
