Fitness boost for Latics boss
The Latics were hit by the news earlier this week that Jon Worthington would be sidelined until the New Year after suffering damaged ankle ligaments.
But the blow could be softened by the return of Andy Holdsworth, who has been out for the last six games with tendinitis in his left leg.
On-loan Leeds left-back Alan Sheehan is also set to make the trip to the South Coast after sitting out the last two matches with an ankle injury.
Nick Blackman could return to the starting line-up after making his comeback from a foot injury with a substitute appearance in the defeat by Southampton.
