Feeney missing for Latics

Oldham striker Warren Feeney will miss the Carling Cup first-round tie at Scunthorpe after being called up by Northern Ireland. The 29-year-old forward will be hoping to win his 35th full cap for his country in Wednesday's friendly in Macedonia. The absence of Feeney will mean one enforced change at Glanford Park with Dean Kelly, Djeny Bembo and Andrew Crompton vying for the striking spot. Player-manager Paul Dickov will not feature having picked up a heel injury in training last week. On-loan Sunderland man Jean-Yves Mvoto may make his debut at Glanford Park but Tom Eaves, 18, could again be omitted from the Latics` squad. The highly-rated teenage striker is being strongly linked with a move to Bolton and did not feature in Saturday`s win at Tranmere so as to protect him from possible injury.
