Hardy - "the transfer will help to keep the club going this coming season" Athletic's exciting youngster Tom Eaves has signed for Bolton Wanderers in a three year deal. Speculation has been rife with the likes of Burnley, Blackpool and Blackburn also being liked with the player who hammered a hat-trick past Bolton in the pre-season friendly at Boundary Park. The deal at the Reebok has been described as an undisclosed fee plus a sell-on clause but rumours have been mentioning that he signed for an initial £200,000. Earlier negotiations suggested that Athletic turned down that figure as it was not high enough as the Latics valued the player much higher. However, Alan Hardy confirmed, “The money we received from the transfer will help to keep the club going this coming season. We have got bills to pay and other financial commitments.” Bolton manager Owen Coyle added, “We’re delighted to have him and we’ll look to take step upon step with him, to such a time when he is ready to challenge for a first-team place.”
