Goalkeeper Greg Fleming and full-back Kelvin Lomax have been transfer-listed by Oldham.
New Boundary Park boss Paul Dickov has decided the 23-year-old pair do not figure in his plans.
Fleming spent last season on loan with Scottish First Division side Dunfermline and has struggled to secure a first-team spot with Latics since his move from Gretna in 2008.
Lomax came through Oldham's youth ranks to make his debut in 2004.
It looked like his time at the club was over in 2006 when he was released by then-manager Ronnie Moore but replacement John Sheridan re-signed him weeks later.
