Dickov to take over?
club stay tight lipped Ex-Manchester City star Paul Dickov is rumoured to be Athletic's new manager. The club are not officially announcing the appointment of the new man due to the new manager currently being away on holiday but other sources have leaked the news that Dickov is the man. Dickov ended his season at promoted Leeds United and it is not known yet if he will take a playing role in Athletic's coming season.A non-committal Alan Hardy commented, "Holidays have caused the delay with our preferred man out of the country. While he has been away, we have been speaking with him over the telephone and discussing a number of matters relating to planning for next season. However, due to holidays, an official announcement will not be made until next week." Dickov has 10 Scotland caps and has also spent a considerable time with Leicester City along with Blackburn Rovers, Crystal Palace, Blackpool and Derby County.
