Dickov takes it on chin

Oldham manager Paul Dickov refused to be downbeat despite seeing his side crash to a 5-2 defeat at Peterborough for their first League One loss of the season. Ritchie Jones and Chris Taylor gave Oldham a two-goal lead in the first half, but James Wesolowski pulled one back for Posh before the break and efforts from Aaron McLean, George Boyd, Dave Hibbert and Grant McCann's penalty in the second half completed a stunning turnaround. Dickov said: "We managed to put a five-match unbeaten run together before going to Peterborough and we now need to work towards putting another run together. "I wasn't getting carried away while we were picking up points and the results were going our way, so I'm not going to over-react to one defeat. "We lost a silly goal before half-time and that was obviously a big moment in the game. It allowed Peterborough to go in for the break with their tails-up and that makes a huge difference. "The last thing I said to my lads before leaving the dressing room was to make sure they defended properly, but we didn't do. We didn't get the basics right and you are always going to be in trouble against a team with the attacking talent that Peterborough possess when that happens."
