Dickov salutes Latics display

Paul Dickov was delighted with Oldham's performance as they beat bottom of the table Swindon 2-0 to secure only their second victory in 18 attempts. Midfielder Chris Taylor proved the difference, with a goal in either half to settle what was a lacklustre encounter at the Count Ground. "Chris Taylor was excellent and there is much more to come from him," said the Latics boss. "He has a great attitude and showed it on the pitch here. "Considering we fielded two 17-year-olds, two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old we did very well and I'm delighted with the team's performance. "MK Dons next week will be a very tough game but with 56 points we have done well. Ryan Burns, only 18 posed a danger every time he got the ball." Goalscorer Taylor added: "I knew I had a chance with the first goal as soon as I struck it and the defenders had backed off. We knew they would come after us after the break but we continued to hold them."
