Dickov remains defiant

Oldham manager Paul Dickov refused to concede his side's play-off challenge was over following a 3-0 defeat at Bournemouth. The Latics have failed to win any of their last nine matches and have failed to score in their last seven, with Cherries substitute Lauri Dalla Valle, Danny Hollands and Michael Symes all on target for the home side. Dickov said: "I thought we did ok, except that we can't defend set-pieces. We had a lot of trouble against Peterborough United last week and the same thing occurred here when we allowed Bournemouth to take the lead from a set-piece. "We didn't man-mark from a corner and they scored a simple goal. "I'd have thought it a fairly straightforward thing to do, but it seems beyond some of our guys. "We're on a poor run, but there are still 12 games to go and I believe we're still very much in the mix for a place in the play-offs."
