Dickov praises Feeney

Oldham boss Paul Dickov has hailed Warren Feeney following the striker`s return to peak fitness and form. Feeney had not started a match since the 2-1 defeat at Southampton on October 23 but he put in a fine display to help the Latics to win 2-0 at Plymouth last weekend. Dickov is backing Feeney to continue to prosper after admitting the Northern Ireland striker has so far failed to set Boundary Park alight following his arrival last summer. "It has not gone as well as he would have expected for him, but we believe in him," said Dickov. "He has had disruptions, going away with Northern Ireland and injuries, and this, that and the other thing. "We have been looking to get him back in for a while. He has looked sharp in training and is back up to full fitness now. He has worked hard and if you do that for me in training you will get a chance."
