Dickov pleased with Latics win

Oldham manager Paul Dickov was relieved to see his side finally get the better of nine-man Plymouth in a 4-2 win. Bonez N'Gala was sent off for hauling down Oumare Tounkara. Dale Stephens scored the resulting penalty, but Craig Moone levelled and Bradley Wright-Phillips added a superb second. Kari Arnason was shown a red card before Tounkara, Jean-Yves M'Voto and Dean Kelly sealed Oldham's comeback win. Dickov, whose side claimed their third win from 12 league games, said: "It looked as though we would not quite get there but the lads got their reward for staying patient. I could easily be standing here with a 2-2 draw and it would have been doom and gloom but we kept playing football right to the end. "It would have been easy to panic because if you are playing against nine men there is a lot of pressure to win the game. "The players showed character and created chance after chance, I'm delighted for them. I thought Plymouth were fantastic and gave Peter Reid everything. Going into stoppage time it looked like the ball wouldn't drop for us. Some of our defending has left me angry but we can go in to a big derby game with a spring in our step."
