Dickov not ruling out playing time

Oldham boss Paul Dickov has not turned his back on his playing career but admits he would have to return to full-time first-team training if he were to consider himself for selection. That is something Dickov has struggled to juggle due to the demands of his managerial role, subsequently making just one substitute appearance for the club back in September. But the 38-year-old is keeping his options open as the Latics look to strengthen their strikeforce. Dickov, who still maintains his fitness to a strong level outside of training, told Oldham`s official website: "If I am to include myself I will have to train every day which has not always been possible. "I cannot play if I don`t train. That would be unfair on other players who trained every day. I would lose the respect of the players if I did that."
