Dickov makes his point

Oldham boss Paul Dickov was satisfied with his side's point in the 1-1 draw at MK Dons. Dons were left to rue a host of missed chances as they carved the Latics apart at will in the first half, but Dickov was particularly encouraged by his side's second-half display. "I'm happy with a point. I thought possibly in the second half we could have won it, but we rode our luck a bit first half," said Dickov. "We gave them too much time on the ball and we showed them a bit too much respect, which isn't like us. "(Dons boss) Karl Robinson has got them playing some fantastic football, but we felt we could nullify that with the way we played. When we're good we're up at the ball and we don't give people a minute's peace - but we sat off them. "We spoke at half-time and we sorted it out, but I said to them it shouldn't take us until half-time to sort things out. "However, second half we were excellent. We nullified them completely and they struggled on the ball, and I thought going forward we were a threat every time."
