Dickov keen on permanent M'voto stay

Oldham boss Paul Dickov has expressed his desire to sign on-loan Sunderland defender Jean-Yves M'voto on a permanent basis. The 22-year-old Frenchman has spent the season on loan at Boundary Park and made 29 first-team appearances. Dickov is a confirmed admirer of the Paris-born centre-back, who is open to the idea of becoming a full-fledged Latics player. Dickov said: "There might be more attractive offers financially elsewhere, but I have told Jean the most important thing is for him to be playing football next season. "We will look after Jean and get the best out of him. The pleasing thing is that there are positive signs from both him and his agent." M'voto said: "Of course I am interested. Me and my agent are open to offers. We will have to wait and see what happens in May and June because I think we will be talking."
