Dickov joy at Latics response

Oldham manager Paul Dickov could not hide his delight after watching his side bounce back from a 6-0 midweek mauling by Southampton with a 2-0 win at Plymouth. Dickov's side took the game to their hosts following a poor first half and were rewarded inside two minutes of the second half when Dale Stephens coolly fired them ahead from 10 yards. Oumare Tounkara sealed the points for the Latics when he crashed a thumping drive into the roof of the net in the 72nd minute. Dickov said: "It was a great reaction to the Southampton match and I'm very proud of all the team. I would not pick out one of them, I thought the whole team played well throughout and I'm proud of every one of them. "We had a good chat at length on Wednesday about Tuesday. We wanted to talk about it and then put it to bed as quickly as possible and that's what we've done. "This was the type of reaction we were looking for and we came here with a plan to attack and that's what we did and we got a result. "One thing I have got - regardless of win lose or draw - is a young group of boys who are willing to run their socks off for me. If they continue doing that we will pick up results."
