Dickov: Jarrett red was harsh

Oldham boss Paul Dickov felt Jason Jarrett was unfortunate to see red in the 1-1 draw at Charlton. Dean Furman's 25-yard rocket on the stroke of half-time cancelled out Scott Wagstaff's 24th-minute strike for the Addicks before Jarrett was sent off for a second bookable offence late on. Dickov said: "The red card was a bit frustrating - I've seen it again and spoken to the referee. "It wasn't a second yellow, in fact we didn't even think it was a foul. But the ref has made an honest decision, he gave what he saw at the time and it was unfortunate for us, but you get on with it." Jarrett appeared to throw the ball at Charlton manager Phil Parkinson on his way off the pitch, but Dickov added: "Jason's reaction was just one of frustration. He's been fantastic for us." The Latics manager continued: "When I took the job I said regardless of results I want people to give 100 per cent effort and the boys did that. I thought it was a good advert for League One with a lot of good football played."
