"Alex is an up-and-coming keeper, but that does not mean he is not ready to go into the team" Paul Dickov has told of his delight after signing Accrington keeper Alex Cisak. He said, “Alex is somebody Gerry and I know very well. We earmarked him during the second half of last season. Alex is an up-and-coming keeper, but that does not mean he is not ready to go into the team. He was fantastic for Accrington last season and when Gerry and I were at Leicester we thought he had all the basic attributes to be a top keeper. What we need to do is to bring those out of him.” “Alex is a good stop stopper, is commanding at 6ft 4in and makes others playing in front of him very comfortable. We have watched him progress and feel he is the right keeper at the right time. Our goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard watched him a lot last season and he was very impressed with him. He has a fantastic attitude and he will become even better working with Paul. People look at Alex's age, but he is a mature kid and he will be a big player for us this season."
