Dickov delighted with Feeney capture
Oldham boss Paul Dickov has paid tribute to new recruit Warren Feeney as he gears up to make his debut this weekend.
The 29-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at Boundary Park after the Latics beat off competition from a host of Championship and League One clubs.
Feeney was a free agent following his release from Cardiff and is set to make his Latics debut in Saturday's friendly against Falkirk at Northwich.
Dickov, who has earmarked a 45-minute appearance for the striker, said: "It will be great to have Warren involved and I think he will be a fantastic signing.
"It is all credit to Warren who turned down more money from other clubs and showed a hunger to buy into what we are trying to achieve here."
