... but may not play in FA Cup game on Saturday

Athletic have managed to extend the loan spell of Matt Derbyshire the Nottingham Forest striker who played the final game of his initial loan spell in the 1-1 draw at Crawley last Saturday. His short-term loan is allowed to run for a maximum of 93 days so he may be released from duty for next Saturday's FA Cup game at Kidderminster Harriers. This will allow him to re-sign for the following Tuesday's home league game with Bury. Dickov announced, "Derbs will be staying. It is just a case of whether we review it before the FA Cup game or after. If he plays on Saturday then he has to go back in mid-December. If we can work it right, he will be here until January."
