Brill eyes Latics promotion bid

League One looks more competitive than ever due to the presence of former top-flight sides Charlton, Norwich, Southampton and Leeds, while the likes of Huddersfield and MK Dons are also expected to challenge strongly. But Latics boss Dave Penney has made several signings this summer to encourage hopes of a promotion push at Boundary Park. Brill, who joined the Latics on a two-year deal following his departure from Luton, told the club's official website: "I've played Oldham a couple of times before and it's always a difficult place to come. "Having spoken to the gaffer and the staff, I'm really positive about our situation and I think we can give it a really good go this season."
