Private friendly match a good work out for out of action players The Latics played Blackburn Rovers in a behind closed doors match at their Brockhall training ground. Although they lost the match 2-1 manager Paul Dickov was delighted by their display in which he played completely different line ups in each half. Premiership Rover's side included players of calibre like Benjani, Mame Diouf, Nikola Kalinic and Frankie Fielding. After falling behind the Latics equalised in the second half through Lewis Alessandra but Rovers snatched a late winner in the game in which all 22 of the squad came through uninjured.Dickov commented, "The players who have been playing regularly each had a half as did those who haven't been in the side so everybody benefited.”
