Latics leading goalscorer Jose Baxter has admitted that he would like to remain at Boundary Park despite the fact that Championship clubs Blackpool, Birmingham, Burnley and Ipswich are all reputed to be interested in the player. Baxter has been likened to Wayne Rooney but he was without a club before manager Paul Dickov brought him to Oldham.Baxter said, “I'm enjoying my football and loving every minute of it. The gaffer, the coaches, the lads — every part of the club is top drawer and I couldn't ask for anything better. I'm getting fitter through working hard so hopefully my football just shines.”
