Abbott aims to get off the mark

Charlton striker Pawel Abbott is out to break his league goalscoring duck against Plymouth this weekend. The summer signing from Oldham scored in Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at MK Dons to add to his Carling Cup brace against Shrewsbury in August. Abbott is now fully fit after a recent calf injury and is desperate to stay on the goal trail and help Charlton climb the League One table. "I want to start scoring in the league now," he said. "I think the team is coming together. We're gelling a bit better and hopefully we can push on and start winning in the league, especially away from home. "I never really set myself targets. Obviously, I want to get as many as I can, but my priority now is to start scoring in the league."
