Keeper Smith ruled out

Goalkeeper Adam Smith will again sit out as Nuneaton aim to see off Luton and book their place in the second round of the FA Cup.

The on-loan Leicester stopper was denied permission by his parent club to play in the initial 1-1 draw between the two sides earlier this month and he is again ruled out for the replay, meaning Ben McNamara is expected to step in once more.

Notts County loanee Tyrell Waite scored for Boro in the initial meeting between the two sides and returned to the bench after a brief injury setback for Saturday's 1-0 league defeat at Kidderminster.

He is now pushing to start against Luton, as are fellow strikers Wesley York and Robbie Thompson-Brown.

Injured midfielder David McNamee (calf) remains sidelined along with long-term absentees Mark Noon, Neil Cartwright and Neil Collett, but Kyle Patterson is fit again and could make the bench.

A home time against fellow non-league outfit Dorchester awaits in the second round for the winners.

Luton will be without loan duo Simon Ainge and Jonathan Smith.

Guiseley defender Ainge is cup-tied having played in an earlier round for his parent club, while Smith is ineligible under the terms of his loan from npower League Two York.

Smith's fellow midfielder Jon Shaw (thigh) is absent but defender Dean Beckwith is pushing for a place in the Hatters' matchday squad having recovered from a groin problem.

Mark Tyler is hoping to return in goal having failed to dislodge Dean Brill on his comeback from a spell on the sidelines.

Scott Rendell rescued a draw in the original tie and Town have lost their subsequent two Blue Square Bet Premier matches.
