Notts County boss Steve Thompson defended his actions after being sent to the stands during the 2-1 victory at Accrington Stanley.
Thompson reacted furiously to a challenge by Alan Rogers on Magpies midfielder David Pipe, a clash that resulted in both players being red-carded.
Afterwards, Thompson said: "It was diabolical from a player of Rogers' experience.
"I broke my leg as a player and I could tell from a mile off what he was going to do. David has done nothing wrong, aside from check that his leg was still there.
"I care for my players and when I see something like that, I am going to react.
"I simply said that I thought the officials had cheated us. That's all."
