Notts County boss Steve Thompson has admitted that he is already making plans for next season.
The Magpies are currently 12th in the League Two table and look certain to finish in a mid-table sport this term, but Thompson is looking for a big improvement next season.
"Myself and John Gannon have had a meeting with chief executive Geoff Davey about what will be in the budget for next year in terms of wages," Thompson told County's official website.
"Already agents are calling round as their clients are out of contract and they will be playing clubs off against each other to get the best deals.
"I would by lying if I said myself and John haven't been talking about new players and players we like to make us a well-balanced and better squad.
"For the next month or so we will be looking around and identifying targets."
