Director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted he has never met the owners of Notts County.
The League Two club were taken over in July by a mystery Middle Eastern consortium and former England manager Eriksson was appointed soon afterwards as part of an ambitious five-year plan to take the Magpies into the Premier League.
The Football League has yet to ratify the takeover as they seek assurances about the identity of the owners but, amid the continuing saga, Eriksson has also revealed that he does not know who is actually behind the club.
"If you ask me if I met them my answer is very simple and honest I haven't," he told Sky Sports News.
"I don't know them I haven't met them I have only met the two representatives of the owners and when I signed I did some research and what the people who did tell me it was real and so far I can't say the opposite, so far everything is good.
"People ask where the money is coming from and I don't really know but the club is working, everyone has been paid there have been new players coming in so it has been good."
