Smith setback for Notts

Notts County midfielder Jay Smith could miss the last three matches of the season through injury.

The 26-year-old former Southend United player suffered a knee ligament problem against Bury earlier this month and the injury is taking longer to heal than had been hoped.

Notts boss Ian McParland said: "I don't know if Jay will play again before the end of the season. We've got to see how it goes with his knee."

County have moved five points clear of the relegation zone with three games of the season left after taking nine points from their last seven matches.
