Schmeichel happy with Backe

Notts County goalkeeperKasper Schmeichel has expressed his delight at being reunited with Hans Backe.

The young shot-stopper ranks the Swede, who coached him at Manchester City, as the best he has ever worked with and he is happy with the progress the Magpies are making in League Two this term.

However, he still believes they are far from the finished article as they prepare to face Hereford United at Edgar Street on Saturday.

Speaking to Evening Post, he said: "All the players loved him (Backe) at Manchester City and I have said before he is the best coach I have ever had, because his sessions are always bright and sharp.

"He knows football inside out and everything he does has a purpose. It's very obvious why he does the stuff he does.

"There is obviously still things we need to work on, we can always improve.

"We are by no means perfect we need to improve on every aspect."
