Notts County are set to hold talks with Coventry City defender David Pipe in a bid to tie the youngster down to a permanent deal at Meadow Lane.
The 20-year-old has impressed since arriving from Highfield Road on loan and he will sit down with Magpies boss Gary Mills to discuss the possibility of extending his time with the club.
Pipe still has a year to run on his current deal with Coventry and he has to decide whether he fancies the possibility of playing in the third division next season.
"Yesterday may not have been the last game I play for the club. I hope that it wasn't anyway," Pipe revealed.
"I am meeting the manager today and the club are going to put everything on the table, in terms of what they are offering me.
"I don't think it will be decided today but it has to be done before Friday, so there is not long to sort it out.
"There are a number of issues to think about, not just the financial side of things."
