Picken deal interests Notts

Notts County hope to tie up a permanent deal for Chesterfield right-back Phil Picken in the summer.

The 23-year-old impressed during his initial one-month loan spell at Meadow Lane and recently extended the agreement until the end of the season.

Assistant boss Dave Kevan told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Phil's done very well for us and has settled in very quickly at the club. We're pleased that can continue.

"Securing a deal for him until the end of the season gives us a great chance to assess him even more.

"He'll still be under contract at Chesterfield in the summer so we'll need to address that nearer the time."
