Notts to bring in Strachan

Notts County are on the verge of adding Peterborough United midfielder Gavin Strachan to their squad.

Magpies boss Ian McParland has held talks with the much-travelled 29-year-old, who looks set to become the third new arrival at Meadow Lane this month.

Guy Branston and Felix Bastians have already moved to the club since the transfer window opened last week.

Meanwhile, Paul Mayo has left County and joined League Two rivals Darlington on a month's loan.
