Notts County's assistant boss Dave Kevan hopes that four new players will have been signed before the start of the new season.
The Magpies have already snapped up Michael Johnson and Jamie Forrester this summer as they look to strengthen a squad that flirted with relegation last term.
Kevan told the club's official website: "We haven't put an exact figure on how many more players we require as such, but we're fully aware we need to bring in three or four more bodies.
"It may not be until July sometime that everything is complete. We must remember the season doesn't start until August 9, so we have a good bit of time.
"In an ideal world we'd like to have all the players in place from day one of pre-season, but it doesn't always work like that.
"So it can take a little bit of time and you have to be patient with players, and by being patient hopefully we'll get the ones we want."
