Notts County hope to extend Jonathan Forte's loan stay at Meadow Lane by another month.

The Scunthorpe United striker has scored seven goals in 12 appearances during two separate month-long loan spells with Notts.

Assistant manager Dave Kevan told the club's official website: "We haven't spoken to (Scunthorpe boss) Nigel (Adkins) yet, but we expect to be in touch over the weekend.

"Jonathan has done really well for us and we're keen to keep him for a bit longer.

"We'll learn what Scunthorpe's stance is over the weekend and see what we can do."
